Marist Brothers Trust Board
The Marist Brothers seek to maintain an educationally and financially viable network of schools that effectively supports the Special Character of the schools and promotes the Marist charism.
To effectively exercise the stewardship function of corporate governance, assurance of the viability of the schools, individually and as a group, was sought by the College Companies.
Through the policy of a review cycle of five years, this first independent review provided analysis and comment about a series of viability indicators and recommendations to strengthen the group of schools. Education Review Office statutory review reports and commissioned Special Character reviews were referred to in the viability review.
Pedersen Pierce Ltd presented their review findings to the Trust Board at the end of January 2006. A comprehensive consultation with the parents and others with an interest in education at St Paul's College commences in April 2006.
